The trouble with sight-reading books is that you only read each page once. Sightreading Cheetah generates a new four-bar phrase every time — so the second attempt is never a memory test. Pick your instrument and it writes in the right clef at the right pitch; set the lowest and highest note you're comfortable with and it stays inside them.
Difficulty is yours to dial: start with steps-only melodies in C, pitch only, no eighth notes, and add skips, jumps, rhythm and key signatures as reading improves. Scale and arpeggio modes drill the patterns that show up in every exam list. Press Start and a count-in leads into the phrase at your tempo; the microphone follows along and marks what you played. "Hear it" plays the phrase back if you want to check by ear first.
For classrooms: mic sensitivity has a setting for soft players and children, and one for noisy rooms; the timing offset compensates for Bluetooth speakers. Twenty instruments means a whole ensemble can use the same tool at their own level.
